If you are on a tight budget there are still many ways for you to travel cheaply. The main factors to think about are the most common expenses you will encounter when you travel. These are accommodation, food, drink and activities. What you spend on these expenses will determine how expensive your trip will be. The following are 7 tips to help you save money:
Tip 1:
When you travel you can make a huge difference to how much your holiday will cost. For example, many holiday operators can double, even triple the prices of holidays during the peak season. The peak season will include the summer months and periods when the schools are closed and children are on holiday. You can save considerable money by traveling during the off-peak season.
Tip 2:
Along with the cost of the flight the accommodation can be the most expensive cost during the holiday. If you prefer the comforts of staying in a hotel then make sure you shop around for the best deal. Hotels are always doing special deals therefore, it pays to ask what deals are on offer.
Tip 3:
Camping is becoming more and more popular these days. It is also considerably cheaper than staying in a hotel. You also have the added advantage of not having to queue up at the airport to catch a flight and the kids love it.
Tip 4:
Timeshares have had a bad reputation in the past however, they have become far better regulated and are becoming popular again. It basically means that you buy a time share of a condo or apartment for a certain period during each year that you have the timeshare.
Tip 5:
Home swapping is becoming more popular and there are many companies that help you with this. However, you can also do a house swap with a friend who lives in another part of the world. All you have to pay is the flights, food and eating out.
Tip 6:
Before you know it you can run up a massive food bill while you are on vacation. If your hotel has inclusive meals such as breakfast or lunch then, take full advantage of them. Many hotels serve buffet breakfasts so use this as an opportunity to fill up. Take some fruit and bread with you for snacks later.
Tip 7:
You will probably want to eat out sometime during the holiday. Go to restaurants where the locals eat as they usually do not charge tourist prices. Also, eat out during lunch if you can as the tourist restaurants tend to charge more for the dinner menu when it is basically the same food being served on the lunch menu.

Question by bkosmo2: Is anyone else tired of BHO and the liberal left confiscating your freedoms?
Freedom is what has made our country great. If the government keeps taking that and if they keep spending more and more measured as a percentage of GDP, poverty will rise and people will stop helping. Government can’t create wealth. They can only waste it.
I am livid over the liberal left and BHO confiscating our freedoms and taking more and more control over our lives.
The cap-and-trade is the last straw. It is nothing more than your King BHO and his court lead by Pelosi to level the playing field. I am sure there will be some provision somehow in that to take more from the rich and give more to the lower income earners.
Health care is coming and I think it is time to start speaking with your wallets. I am printing me up business cards that I can leave where I would normally tip and put on it, “I am sorry I am having my money confiscated by the government at an alarming rate and I have to save every penny I can so I can afford all of the entitlements/taxes that I am forced to pay. Sorry for not leaving a tip.”

My final thought is would BHO do what the government is doing in Iran if he thought that it would further his agenda?

What is happening in Iran, is more likely to happen under someone like Huckabee and Palin. Iran is being ruled by the religious right.

Obama is pretty Moderate.
all of the previous answeres show how blind and stupid our society is. Its no wonder we are losing our rights and freedoms so fast. most people in our Country could care less as long as they can remain fat and stupid and keep their cable T.V. and watch sports. They can tell you all about the celebrities ans ball players but everyone I mention the cap and trade bill too say “what is that”. What Bush didnt finish taking from us Obama is going to. people think they have freedoms and rights only because the government is passing all these new laws but not enforcing them massively yet. Once everything is passed then the military will be knocking on our doors and this dumb generation of people won’t even understand why they are being forced from their homes.
On the Biblical end of things, its not many more years down the road where people will be forced to take a chip in their hand or forehead to be able to buy or sell (Mark of the Beast in Rev. 13) or they will be executed. I will be executed because I wont give up my eternal life for a chip. We must all keep speaking out against the New World Order and not be a part of it.
I believe what is going on in Iran will be happening here in the next 10 years.
Save the money that you would have used to print the cards to tip with. If you can’t afford to tip, go through a drive through somewhere were tips are not necessary… That’s just incredibly tacky. While I agree with everything else that you’ve said nearly, those waiters and waitresses are struggling just like you to make ends meet, and since they receive tips, they’re wage is likely below minimum before tips. It’s incredibly selfish to do that…
Anyways..
I am also livid at the liberal left taking away our freedom and rights.. BUt I’m also livid at the Republicans for doing the same thing (Patriot Act anyone?).
It’s ok to tax us to kill brown people in other countries but it’s not ok to tax us for healthcare?
Honestly… I believe that we should be taxed for neither but free to choose whether we want to spend our money on healthcare or killing overseas.
Seriously.. I din’t think it was possible for the government to grow any more large, controlling, micromanaging and tyrannical as it did under Bush, but I think BHO is out-doing him in 1/10th of the time.
Gah.. It’s all just so depressing.
Voting Republicrat has gotten us nowhere but bigger government, more taxes and less personal freedom for years. I think the only thing that can save us now is a new party that is TRULY for freedom.
I hope the Republicrats go the way of the Whigs and do it soon.
